The Preferred Governmental Insurance Trust recently received the Virginia Cebula Education Fund Award at the Florida Association of Special District’s statewide conference in Ponte Vedra Beach.
Preferred Receives FASD Virginia Cebula Education Fund Award
The Preferred Governmental Insurance Trust recently received the Virginia Cebula Education Fund award at the Florida Association of Special District’s statewide conference in Ponte Vedra Beach.
The award was given as recognition of Preferred’s longstanding participation and support of the association’s Certified District Managers (CDM) scholarship program. Since 2008 at the program’s inception, Preferred has contributed $2400 annually for two scholarships which are provided to select district managers in training at a Florida special district who eventually complete their certification.
The following district’s have received the Preferred scholarships: Lealman Fire and Rescue, South Florida Conservancy, Estero Fire, Spring Lake Improvement, San Carlos Fire, North River Fire, Highlands County Housing Authority, Bayshore Fire Protection and Rescue Service, Palm Harbor Special Fire and Rescue, Tice Fire Protection and Rescue, Immokalee Fire Control and Cedar Hammock Fire Control
